NPR How I Built This: Airbnb
Welcome to MYRetreat Blog, where podcasts are condensed into bullet points. Practical uses include: Reading as an alternative to watching the microwave warm your dinner. Browsing while waiting in a checkout line. Finding an interesting tidbit to share at that social gathering you're headed to, so when you're asked what you've been up to lately you don't have to admit you've had the PJ Masks theme song stuck in your head for the past hour and a half.

"See something, do something about it." MYRetreat is a 90 minute women's retreat to reconnect with your purpose in life by embracing your authentic self. I started MYRetreat in 2017, at age 30. I had comfortably settled into my roles as therapist, mom, and wife. During play dates with moms, and networking with helping professionals, I was consistently hearing that our purpose and values as unique women were being set aside till an undetermined later date. Once MYRetreat came to life ladies left feeling emotionally refreshed, empowered, and motivated to be true to who they are.
My biggest challenge is hearing women say they need a retreat to reconnect with their authentic selves, but they engage in self care only as a last resort. These same women intuitively know that once we are rejuvenated we can give from our abundance of energy and love.
"You never get to C if you don't try A & B first." Ladies, we get a new outfit, a new hairstyle, and we're feeling refreshed. Not too long after, we're left feeling like internal renewal is in order. If this sounds like you, MYRetreat may be EXACTLY the experience you're seeking.
"I purposefully signed up to be a tour guide, on campus, because it forced me to be in front of people." I can totally relate. As a teen, I feared heights. So, I signed up to be a belayer at RocVentures, our awesome local indoor climbing wall. Pushing ourselves outside our comfort zone helps us reach our full potential.
What have you done, or not done for that matter, that has been aligned with your true self? Looking forward to listening to your truths.
